Introduction

This section contains practical resources to support training at the five levels of the Inter-Professional Dysphagia Framework, in particular Awareness and Assistant Dysphagia Practitioner Level. 

As such this is likely to be of interest to:
  • Trainers delivering sessions about dysphagia
  • Staff working in health and social care

A Trainer delivering a ADP Practical Training Session

Consult your manager/team leader of dysphagia services about training in your setting. This is for several reasons. These include ensuring your efforts fit the Training Needs Analysis; you have access to the appropriate facilities, that achievements are recorded on the Electronic Staff Record and/or individual personal development plans; and most importantly, that new skills are used to benefit patient care.
